Vaclav Benes Trebizsky, Z rodne chaloupky
A 1923 sixth edition of Z rodne chaloupky, Vaclav Benes Trebizsky's collected legends and memories, published by Frantisek Topic in Prague with a chromolithographed cover by Viktor Oliva. Trebizsky was one of the most widely read Czech writers of his day, and Oliva's cover, a girl in folk costume, a raven, a cottage, is the visual shorthand a whole generation used for Czech storytelling. One torn page, binding a little tired, nothing missing. One piece, one new owner, then closed.
