Antique Porcelain Praying Angel

A miniature porcelain angel in a prayer pose, with large spread gilded wings. The lower body is glazed marbled purple-violet, the upper body white, an integral two-tone treatment, not a separate base. A type of small devotional figure produced across Central Europe throughout the 19th century for domestic altars and church shops. Wings damaged; sold as a damaged antique, condition fully visible in the photographs. One piece, one new owner, then closed. ✦
