Aluminium Relief Plaque, Putto & Stork

An aluminium relief plaque depicting a putto and a stork, a Belle Epoque allegorical scene, marked DEPOSE, a French registered-design mark manufacturers used at the time to protect an image from being copied. The pairing, a cherub and a stork, was a familiar birth-and-family motif in that period's decorative objects, the kind of piece more often given to mark an arrival than bought for oneself. Good condition. One piece, one new owner, then closed.
