School Group Portrait, Rural Bohemia
A large cabinet card portrait of a rural Bohemian school class, albumen print, circa 1890-1910, studio unidentified. Group portraits like this were usually a once-a-year event, the photographer visiting the village or the class walking into town, and for many rural children of this period it was the only photograph they would ever have taken. A one-of-a-kind sepia group portrait in good condition for its age. One piece, one new owner, then closed.
