They are both black, medium-sized, shaggy. House dogs, not show dogs, the kind that follow you room to room. Someone brought them to O. Šrůtek's studio in Valašské Meziříčí and needed no better reason than that. Five people will wear them. Then the edition is gone for good.

Why hand-finished, not print-on-demand

Heavyweight garment-dyed cotton, photograph printed on the front, archive number hand-finished by machine embroidery on the sleeve. Made in a small Czech workshop, not a mass-run print shop.

Brought to the studio for no better reason than being two good dogs. The photographer worked in wool and folk costume most days. That day, he worked in fur.
