A bronze bust of Dante Alighieri in his characteristic laurel wreath and medieval cap, mounted on an oval base inscribed "DANTE". Finely modelled face with rich dark brown and copper patina throughout. Two mounting screws on the underside of the base. No maker's mark. Turn of the 19th and 20th century. One piece, one new owner, then closed. ✦
